Asbestos is a naturally formed mineral silicate material that when liberated into fibres become an inhalation health hazard. The asbestos fibres were used in building construction until about 1990 and was prohibited from 2003. When asbestos fibres are liberated into the air with a specific geometry that allows the fibres to be inhaled in the lungs in which case this may lodge onto the lining and pose a health concern.

Our NATA accreditation includes the identification and management of asbestos and hazardous building materials such as lead paint, Synthetic Mineral Fibres (SMF), Poly-Chlorinated Biphenyl’s (PCBs) and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS).
Our inspection services are back by our NATA accredited chemical laboratory to provide test results in a timely manner, and when you want them.

Choose from Asbestos Testing through Fibre Identification or Air Testing
If you are concerned about whether you may be exposed to airborne fibres call us now. We can either come to your house or workplace to take a sample for analysis, or we can assist in providing you information for sampling the suspected ACM sample for yourself safety to be submitted to our laboratory.
Safe Environments reports to the Australian Standard AS 4964 Method for the qualitative identification of asbestos in bulk samples. If you take your health seriously, work with the serious experts: the NATA symbol is your assurance that you are dealing with the experts in the field.
The report will also identify the material contains Chrysotile, Amosite or Crocidolite asbestos as well as if there were also any organic or synthetic mineral fibres (SMF).
Air Monitoring Services & Clearance Inspections
Air monitoring services are provided when assessing control methods during asbestos removal, both Friable and Non-Friable (Bonded). With NSW & ACT licenced asbestos assessors and occupational hygienists at disposal to meet your needs, you’ll be in in safe hands.
Following asbestos removal works, we can provide NATA accredited clearance inspections, providing you with a certificate to ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
