Safe Environments achieve NATA accreditation for asbestos inspections

Safe Environments being the first 100% Australian owned company to achieve accreditation by NATA (accreditation No: 17139) as a Type A Inspection body for the inspection of asbestos. NATA is the authority that provides independent assurance of technical competence of best practice industry experts. Safe Environments complies with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO.IEC 17020 (2000) General criteria for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection for the inspection of asbestos materials demonstrating competence and high level of quality throughout.

The asbestos inspection reports and management plans are produced in accordance with the requirements of the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission Code of Practice for the Management and Control of Asbestos in Workplaces [NOHSC:2018(2005)].

The asbestos inspection team are highly qualified and the company aims to achieve a high level of quality and customer care for all our clients. Additionally our have asbestos consultants with Class A Asbestos Licence for all asbestos work conducted within the ACT as required by law.

This type of accreditation signifies that the inspection is of the highest quality and the inspectors have undergone rigorous training and quality assurance procedures. Asbestos inspections are not just grabbing a couple of samples and taking to the lab to be tested.

Safe Environments asbestos inspections are considered to be in line with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) document Methods for Determination of Hazardous Substances (MDHS) 100.
